
On March 8, the Windsor Human Relations Commission honored three Phenomenal Women of Windsor - Mel Madigan, Maureen Canning, and Josephina Rodriguez.
To become a nominee, the individual must meet one or more of the following criteria:
□ Promoted the elimination of racism and discriminatory attitudes and practices in Windsor.
□ Worked to establish cooperative relationships with groups concerned with human relations.
□ Promoted equal opportunities for all people in Windsor.
□ Worked to further an understanding of a multi-cultural society in Windsor.
□ Worked to further communication and understanding between racial, ethnic, and religious
groups in Windsor.
The following factors determine whether the nominee meets the criteria for the award:
⬥ Innovative contributions to individuals or the community
⬥ Leadership commitment
⬥ Quantity of volunteer time
⬥ Philanthropic donations or contributions
